Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Paul Kircher was 21 playing 17, but had never led a film — Honoré found him in drama school and essentially built the role around his raw, unpredictable energy.
Honoré called this his 'most personal film' — his own father died when he was young, and the film's unsparing look at queer teen sexuality broke from French cinema's usual tasteful restraint around gay youth.
