Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Released weeks after 2023 Ayodhya tensions, the film's Ayodhya-Rameswaram route deliberately mirrors Hindu nationalist pilgrimage circuits while subverting them through Abdul's character.
Director Manthira Moorthy cast Yashpal Sharma specifically to avoid South Indian actor stereotypes for North Indian Hindu patriarchs, creating deliberate regional friction.
