Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Bruno Mattei died in 2007; this was his final theatrical feature, completing a 40-year career in Italian exploitation.
The 'snuff film' urban legend peaked in 1970s-80s moral panic; Mattei's 2004 revival reflects enduring conspiracy fascination.
