Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The Eastern Townships setting reflects real rural Quebec struggles with agricultural decline and young people fleeing to cities. Édoin grew up nearby.
The actual drought during filming forced production changes — the parched fields weren't always CGI, nature cooperated too well.
