Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was one of five (!) Orient Express action movies filmed in Bulgaria around 2000, part of a bizarre tax-incentive gold rush. Waltz reportedly took the role to fund theater work.
The 'Ossama' character name, filmed months before 9/11, became so radioactive that some international prints were reportedly altered. Waltz never publicly discussed this film until a 2014 interview where he simply laughed.
