Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This film notoriously has two directors because one quit. Reportedly only one VHS copy existed for years, making it a holy grail of bad movies until a digital restoration surfaced.
Released the same year as E.T.'s 5th anniversary, this was clearly a cash-grab that accidentally became an anti-classic. The 'magical African tribe' tropes aged like milk in a sauna.
