Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Nick Taylor wrote, directed, and produced this over two years with a reported budget under $50,000, shooting primarily at actual small-town circuses.
Released months before the 1999 'clown panic' and Columbine, this accidentally rode a wave of unease about masked performers and suburban violence.
