Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Zbigniew Cybulski was Poland's James Dean, and this was his French New Wave detour before his actual tragic death two years later.
Baratier filmed this during the Algerian War's final years, and the 'mythical' dictatorship was everyone's not-so-subtle way of saying 'this is about France too, actually.'
