Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Park Sung-woong's casting as Seon-Nyeo subverted Korean cinema's treatment of LGBTQ+ characters in 2011—she's neither punchline nor tragedy, but the smartest person in the room.
The film's 'baji' title refers to both the protagonist's name and Korean betting slang, a linguistic double-cross baked into the marketing.
