When the law bans your party, you become the party.
A city that has been living for two years with the law that prohibits "clandestine parties". A youth who, when reunited, risks receiving a police raid on their doorstep, in the street, in the park or in the square. Spatial segregation, denial of the right to the city and public space for the leisure of the poor, black and peripheral. Willingness to make art, create music, lyrics, poetry, beats, hits and spread culture in this repressive scenario.
Sound
Raw funk and rap recorded in actual raid risk zones
Production
Guerrilla filming where cameras are basically contraband
Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Bauru's 'Lei Anti-Baile' (2017) criminalized gatherings of 10+ people with sound equipment, specifically targeting funk and rap events in peripheral neighborhoods.
The title 'Flux014' references both the local rap collective FLUXO and the DDD 014 area code — a reclamation of geographic identity the law tried to erase.
