A zombie king vs. a mummy in a Basque political bloodbath — democracy was never this dead.
'Napardeath' closes de 'Ataun of the Dead' trilogy. After having revived in the first film and defeated the Vampire Nationalist Party in the second, Zumalakarregi will head to Pamplona to appoint himself king of the Basques. It won't be an easy road, since the Abertzale left will revive the mummy of Sancho the Strong, in order to restore the Kingdom of Navarre and recover the throne. Who will win this game of thrones?

Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The trilogy satirizes real Basque political factions through horror tropes, making it nearly untranslatable outside the region.
Etxahun Galparsoro plays Zumalakarregi across all three films despite the character dying in the first — resurrection logistics never explained.
