Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This is the second anime adaptation of Osamu Dazai's 'No Longer Human' — the original 1948 novel is Japan's second best-selling novel ever, which explains why they keep making us watch pretty people suffer.
Mamoru Miyano (Yozo) and Jun Fukuyama (Takeichi) previously starred together in 'Death Note' and 'Code Geass' — this reunion is basically a support group for traumatized pretty-boy protagonists.
