Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Kristian Pedersen created this as his graduation film, using hand-drawn animation scanned from charcoal drawings to achieve that ash-like texture.
The film shares its name with the actual bomb dropped on Hiroshima—a 9,700-pound uranium gun-type device that killed 70,000 instantly.
