Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This is a shot-for-shot remake of the 2008 Belgian film of the same name by Erik Van Looy — who also remade his own film in 2014 for American audiences.
The original Belgian version was a massive hit; this Dutch remake sparked debates about why Dutch cinema kept remaking Flemish successes instead of developing original hits.
