Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Director Inas El Degheidy was a rare female voice in 90s Egyptian cinema, often exploring women's bodies and choices under patriarchal systems—even when the women are the antagonists.
Ahmed Zaki was Egypt's biggest star; this role let him play physically vulnerable after decades of tough-guy roles.
