Based on Macbeth, PADDAYI is the story of Madhava and Sugandhi. They are newlyweds from the fishing community in Karnataka, Southern India. Driven by a Tulu deityʼs prophecy coupled with Sugandhiʼs ambition, Madhava murders Dinesh, illegally inherits Dineshʼ property and bring upon himself an eponymous tragedy.
