found footagecursed artifactcabin fever

Overview

Horror

Legend has it that 300 years ago, a demon once terrorized the villagers of a small town. They cut off the demon's head, which then suddenly disappeared. To this day, it is rumored among the population that the demon still lives in the forests. Two young men set off into the forest at night with a video camera to unravel the mystery of the missing demon's head. The two young men rediscover the town, which has been long deserted ever since. Little did they know the solution to the mystery was hidden within...

Standout Aspects

Practical Effects

The demon head prop working harder than the entire cast.

Production

65-minute runtime respecting your time more than most horror.

Acting

Directors casting themselves as leads—chaotic auteur energy.

Best for:Solo: Late night with headphones, questioning your life choices.·Friends: Riffing on the zero-budget demon effects with your crew.·Binge: Double feature with every other found footage movie ever made.
Heads up:Jump Scares: Some cheap scares when the camera gets shaky in the woods.·Disturbing: Decapitated demon imagery, though mostly off-screen.
