Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Song Kang-ho trained for months with real wrestlers and insisted on doing his own falls, despite being terrible at them—which made the comedy land harder.
The film satirizes Korea's 1997 IMF crisis corporate culture, where 'inefficient' workers faced brutal restructuring; Dae-ho's wrestling escape reads as literal class rebellion.
