Texan Charles Farmer left the Air Force as a young man to save the family ranch when his dad died. Like most American ranchers, he owes his bank. Unlike most, he's an astrophysicist with a rocket in his barn - one he's built and wants to take into space. It's his dream. The FBI puts him under surveillance when he tries to buy rocket fuel, and the FAA stalls him when he files a flight plan – but Charles is undeterred.

These comments are evidence of most people's inability to dream....of the cynicism & the lack of wonder that has a stranglehold on society. I felt the message of this film, and thank the people who made it for telling the most important kind of story as far as humanity is concerned: daring to dream....and being willing to defend your dream against the rest of the world if necessary. Whether people want to acknowledge it or not: the hostility so many exhibit in these comments (as well as most of the paid critics who reviewed this movie) is a product of their own failure to embrace their dreams. They are threatened by something that they perceive as indicting the compromises they have made in life. But that is ok, it has always been this way. And yet the dreamers and visionaries keep doing what they do....regardless of the ultimately meaningless opinion of the masses.
