Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Tino Rossi was a massive Corsican singing star, so casting him as a 'talented' singer nobody hears was either irony or budget constraints.
This film belongs to the 'pagnol-esque' tradition of sentimental Provençal village comedies, though it lacks the actual Marseille authenticity of Pagnol's work.
