Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Shot in 3D during the brief 2009 revival, but Dante insisted on practical depth rather than gimmick shots. Theatrical run was so limited most viewers never saw it properly.
Bruce Dern's Creepy Carl is a direct descendant of his unhinged 70s characters—Dante cast him as loving tribute to the paranoid cinema of their shared youth. The film itself is Dante's love letter to suburban horror he grew up on.
