Always such brilliance! I love you, Fred!

Besides (1) Fred's hops & jumps up on a bar, (2) literal smashing of real glass which cut Mr. Astaire's shins and feet during filming, and (3) the taps this man does on a slick bar surface without falling, (4) Fred Astaire then ups the ante and demonically beats his feet double-time to the already quick-step rhythm which makes this dance routine one of his best ever.

Thankfully, today's WarnerBrother execs have listened to the multitudes of Astaire enthusiasts and released this movie in Region 1 (North America) in DVD format this week (Fingers-crossed they've added Fred's deleted scene, the train "Trestle Dance" to the DVD extras!!!!). I've got this movie on pre-order and I hope you will too!!!! (5) Let me repeat: Mr. Astaire did all the choreography ALONE on this movie which is another reason to own this gem. Enjoy the genius of his mind at work in dance!
