Five pastel-colored talking (Fluppy) dogs who arrive through a Fluppy interdimensional doorway. Upon arrival, the dogs befriend 10-year-old Jamie and his neighbor Claire. The friends must help the Fluppy dogs avoid the clutches of the evil exotic-animal collector Wagstaff and find the doorway that will lead them back to their world.

This was meant to launch a Hasbro toy line and TV series. It bombed so hard it became a cult curio instead. The Fluppy Dogs vanished into obscurity while Transformers conquered the world.
Fred Wolf also directed the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie—so this is technically in the same cinematic universe if you have enough imagination and wine.
