Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Director Heidi Wittlinger was one of few women directing animated shorts in early 2000s Germany; Rocks premiered at Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
The film's 8-minute runtime spans millennia—making it possibly the most efficient 'history of everything' ever committed to screen, with rocks as the ultimate unreliable narrators.
