Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The title comes from the brothers' ritual toast, improvised during rehearsal and kept because Pazos and Bolani couldn't stop laughing at its sadness.
Part of the 'New Uruguayan Cinema' movement, this helped put Montevideo's film scene on the map alongside Argentina's boom. Tragically, co-director Rebella died by suicide in 2006, making this and 7 Days in Havana his legacy.
