The title references The Matrix, which the Men's Rights Movement had already adopted as slang for 'waking up' to male disadvantage—Jaye knowingly weaponized their own language against them, or perhaps for them.
Jaye became so controversial that some feminist film festivals that initially accepted The Red Pill later disinvited it, creating the exact censorship narrative the documentary explores.
