Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Yukie Nakama spent weeks training with wheelchair users to ensure authentic movement; she refused a stunt double for all manor navigation scenes.
The title 'Mesen' (目線) means 'line of sight' — the film constantly frames Akari's literal eye-level as power, forcing viewers to adopt her perspective.
