Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
MST3K featured this in their final original run episode, cementing its cult status as prime riffing material. The writers reportedly couldn't believe the supermarket chase was played completely straight.
Director David Giancola was only 22 when shooting began. The Revolutionary War scenes were filmed at a local historical reenactment where actors thought they were in a documentary.
