Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Roopa Iyer became one of few women directing big-budget Kannada cinema, and this bilingual gamble paid off commercially when few female-led productions did.
The film's simultaneous Kannada-Tamil release was strategically timed to capture Shriya Saran's fanbase across both industries, with Prem Kumar's casting specifically targeting Kannada markets while Ganesh Venkatraman balanced Tamil appeal.
