The Winter Guest is one of my favorite movies It is a series of character studies that are spot on in my experience of the women I have known, middle age, growing worry over an aging parent, first love and the the secret life of pubescent boys. Set in Scotland in a bitter winter, it is heartwarming and as cold as the frozen wasteland of my heart.
