Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The Goofy Gophers were created as a parody of Disney's chipper chipmunks, but Freleng made them aggressively, hilariously British instead.
This short premiered when post-war America was obsessed with British manners on screen—making two rodents the most sophisticated thing in theatres.
