Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The Bra Boys became unlikely fashion icons; their 'My Brother's Keeper' tattoos and board shorts influenced Australian streetwear for a decade. The film essentially created the 'noble outlaw surfer' archetype that brands still exploit.
Russell Crowe basically funded this passion project and narrated for free because he grew up nearby and knew the Abbertons. The 'Blood is Thicker Than Water' premiere had actual riot police present.
