Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Tom Felton dyed his hair and eyebrows blonde to escape Draco Malfoy comparisons; it didn't really work.
Zola's novel was so scandalous in 1867 that critics called it 'putrid literature'; this adaptation soft-pedals the ending considerably.

Reactions from the web
It's funny how when she first began acting, people assumed Elizabeth Olsen had nothing to offer but the same last name as her twin sisters, but she's proven herself as an amazing actress, in a very short amount of time and with such versatile roles. I'd pretty much see anything she's in.
