The story begins with Daniel's girlfriend, Catherine, disappearing years ago from a hotel. Later, the group finds a flyer for an old party held at the same hotel and decides to go, which plunges them into an unexpected paradox. The Latin word "Coartatus," meaning "confined," suggests that no matter how hard they try to escape, they are destined to be trapped in this paradox. However, they are neither the first nor the last group to be caught in this trap.
