Promises (2022)

Overview

Promises centres around Ntombi. Her father has abandoned the family and her mother spends all her time with new boyfriend, Zakes, leaving Ntombi to take care of her little sister, Zinzi. The situation at home impacts negatively on Ntombi’s performance at school, where she has been missing practices in the lead up to the school’s talent competition. Ntombi is attracted to Mzi, one of collegue’s hottest guys, but all is not what it seems and she enlists the help of her friend and confidant Olwethu to determine what secrets Mzi and, her mother’s boyfriend, Zakes are hiding.
