Trivia, insights & behind the scenes

Insight

This German TV adaptation strips Tchaikovsky's ballet to its narrative bones, ditching the iconic score for spoken drama — a bold choice that ballet purists will side-eye.

Trivia

Director Christian Theede specializes in family-friendly German literary adaptations, so this fits his exact niche like a feathered glove.
