I remember watching this as a child. Then hearing that it was banned and would never ever be available to watch again. Then in my mid 20s, I was able to watch it again via the internet. I have bought every copy available to ensure I have rights to the film. This was the best samurai film compiled of two. But to see it back in the day was something of legend. The first time I saw it , I was 4. Then to see it again at 27. And to know it survived now that I am 45. Still holds up after all this time.
