Meet the Superhuman

Overview

The performance and video artist Katherine Araniello parodies Channel 4’s TV advert “Meet the Superhumans,” which they made for the 2012 Paralympic Games. In her satirical version, Araniello challenges the original ad’s presentation of Disabled people as ‘inspirational,’ instead showing herself smoking, eating junk food and glugging champagne.
