Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was Foxy and Roxy's second and final Merrie Melodies appearance before Warner Bros. retired them for being too similar to Disney's Mickey and Minnie.
The title song became a working-class anthem during the Depression, later covered by everyone from Warner Bros. cartoons to Cherry Poppin' Daddies in the '90s swing revival.
