A magic ring turns a sad sack into a foot-obsessed puppet master with a body count.
Michael Emerson (David Lee) is a henpecked husband who lives with a controlling wife, Phyllis (Debbie D) and is divorced from his first wife, Samantha (Laura Giglio) who took him to the cleaners in their divorce. His only solace is the beautiful barmaid, Isabelle (Tracey Lixx) who loves him. At work, Mike finds a mysterious ring left at his desk by an unknown benefactor. The ring gives him the power to control anyone to do exactly what he wants. And he uses its power to get his revenge on both his wife and ex-wife. He forces both of them to indulge his foot fetish and to behave like lapdogs at his feet. In addition, he forces his ex-wife to soak herself with a hose while watering her garden and leaves her wondering what happened. And then he commands both of them to commit suicide.
Practical Effects
That garden hose scene — zero budget, maximum commitment.
Acting
Debbie D's henpecked-wife energy is almost too convincing.
Director
Gary Whitson
Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Gary Whitson directed dozens of ultra-low-budget 'hypnosis fetish' films in the 90s-2000s, essentially creating a microgenre of wish-fulfillment cinema for very specific audiences.
Tina Krause appears as Isabelle but was a well-known scream queen in indie horror; her presence here suggests even B-movie veterans needed rent money.
