Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Part of Trevor Anderson's trilogy of Edmonton-set queer short films exploring working-class performance and memory. DINX premiered at Sundance and helped establish Canada's weirdo queer cinema wave of the late 2000s.
The burlesque club was a real Edmonton venue, and several cast members were actual performers there. The childhood flashback was shot at Anderson's actual elementary school.
