Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Patrik Eklund won the Palme d'Or for Best Short Film in 2008 with 'Instead of Abracadabra,' making Flicker his highly anticipated feature debut that polarized Swedish critics.
The film satirizes Sweden's actual telecom privatization waves of the 1990s-2000s, where rural companies like fictional 'Unicom' were swallowed or struggle-survived as nostalgic oddities.
