Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Shot on 16mm for roughly $150,000, this was part of a wave of post-'Kids' indie shock cinema trying to weaponize exploitation for social commentary. It mostly failed.
Randolph Kret never directed another feature; the film's reception reportedly destroyed his career. Sometimes the machine eats its own.
